The Secret Ingredient is Crime

I have set this Blog up to keep in contact with my dear friend Johannes de Silentio; he is possibly the coolest person I've ever met and I never want to lose contact with him. Correction: He IS the coolest person I have ever met.

Snow Day!!

Greetings from the melting hinterland of Saskatchewan. The plus 0 weather has provided extrodinary snow scultping opportunities, which with my vast amounts of free time, I have taken advantage of. Whilst I may be no Michealangelo I do think I fared out alright since I haven't played in the snow for years. On top of that I had the occupational hazards of avoiding deer related fecal matter that often interupted snow rolling.

Where am I going with this? Ah yes, a gallery of sorts, displaying my fleeting works. Fleeting because the high winds rolling off the river have thus already challenged my work, beheading my beloved snow people. Reconstruction may be attempted although perhaps I must be content with knowing that my work was beyond this world.

The photo's do not justify the facial features, intriciately carved into the snow. Nor do they highlight the foot work on the penguins. However they may just show the awesome ass I was able to carve on Man with Mohawk.

And thus, I present to you, pictures of my work, which I've titled Man and Woman Staring at Penguins.

And for the detailing:

Very Important Update

I just finished watching one of my all time favourite shows, only available via cable: Fashion File. I have now found a new meaning for my life.

To own an Ellie Saab Dress.

If I could find a link to his haute couture Autumn/Winter 2005 collection I could show you the love I feel for this new direction, but all I can find is his ghetto ready to wear. So I'll keep the pvr for demonstrations when people visit!

Ps I don't think the zamboni thing will work out -- I'm dismantling my cap line as we speak.

Times they might be changing

A little birdy (my father) informed me last night that the leisure department for the Town of Outlook is currently looking for an assistant at the Recreational Complex (RecPlex). I promptly walked down to said location today and was told that the boss was not in.

So tomorrow I will promptly walk down and once again attempt to become Outlook's newest Zamboni driver...and while many will laugh, I am excited by this prospect...

Saskatoon Peeps:

I'm coming to the city tomorrow till Saturday and staying at my brothers...email for the number or just hope that I call...if I don't its because I didn't bring your numbers.

Now this next task I found extremely fun (during my oh so productive days as an unemployed person). I'm sure one could do this with their cd changer if they lack the ipod capacity -- or maybe their itunes/real music...it's good fun whatever the case.

4, 5, 6, 10 and 13 kinda made me laugh and chuckle....

Oh and go to http://biasedandmyopic.blogspot.com/ for more on the New Year's celebrations...

When it Works, it works

Technology is pretty cool. Today I helped my high school history teacher transfer his records to digital format. Overcoming some hiccups it worked really well. We only managed to get through about four so I'll be heading back another time for some 1970's gospel music fest!

Technology also is pretty cool as I finally got to see what the hype of iChat is all about. How cool is it that you get to talk via your computer to people! Now if only M could get his hands on a personal computer because our long distance bills are quite ridiculous...but so worth it...Funny how a phone conversation can brighten a day.

That's about it..oh and this whole TIVO/PVR stuff is awesome when one has it...Gilmore Girls whenever I want them! yay!

sleepy time

I'm staying up to call M before he goes to work -- it's cheaper than during the day -- damn six hour time difference.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
Either:

Happy endings, they still don't bore me
But they, they have a way
They have a way to make you pay
And to make you toe the line
Sever the ties
Because I'm so clever
But clever ain't wise

Fuck forever
If you don't mind
Oh fuck forever?

(Babyshambles, Fuck Forever)

OR:

And when I saw you there it was the first time
And you just walked on by
I was catching the sparks that flew from your heels
And trying to catch your eye

But that was
somewhere else
somewhere else
somewhere else
I really really wish I could be
somewhere else
somewhere else
somewhere else

(Razorlight, Somewhere Else).

Happy New Year's!

Greetings from the unemployed! Perhaps this blog should chronicle the manner in which an unemployed MBA graduate wittles away her days, contemplating the worth of her degree against the costs involved and the opportunities forsaken...or it could follow the same old suit of me rambling about my oh-so-exciting life...hmm

So 2006 started in a blaze, literally! Burning an effigy of Tom Cruise, representing the evil of the past year and those troubles we'd like to leave behind, our little man (oh so fitting it was Tom) was a lot of fun to jump over repeatedly captured on film. Had my camera not been in the great land of north Dakota with my mama I would share but since I did not take any pictures I'll have to hope my RSS feed to LV will result in some sort of picture sharing that I can share with my readers...mainly being LV...

Anyways so the burning was loads of fun though my performance in trivial pursuit was dismal. But I liked the atmosphere and the sweet ambrose served so no complaints. I spent the first day doing little of nothing at my fake brother's and then went home and chatted with my sweetie through the internet...

So then on to the second..phew! I'm so busy! I managed to start sorting through the junk left in the downstairs bedroom, resulting in various piles of semi-organized junk. I also managed to sort through four years of bills and papers which I finally finished shredding just now. I managed to go for a two hour coffee with Sock Boy, whom I'm convinced I'll end up marrying one day by default -- sorry M! But Donna does love me!

Then I was going to make a family of penguins in the snow but it wouldn't cooperate, even with the bright sun shining down and making slush...so I gave up and watched Gilmore Girls.

So today! I'll head off to the post office to post some things to my sister which she hath forgot. I will post a letter and a condolence card to my good friend and I will get some stuff ready for my brother. And I will watch Gilmore girls and maybe do some more downstairs organizing and maybe watch another movie. Thus far I've watched Airplane and The Apartment. Maybe I will only watch A movies in the month of January, but then again I won't.

WoW! I am awesome. Unemployed and still compelling interesting... how does one track readership and location? Anyone help me out there??
